Brooklyn Punk Rock ’n’ Roll Chaos

If you've ever found yourself asking, “Where have all the real punk rock 'n' roll bands gone?”—look no further than Born Loose, straight out of Brooklyn, New York. Fueled by chaos, whiskey, and decades of combined rock pedigree, Born Loose have been preaching the gospel of bar-fight-rock'n'roll for quite some time.

Fronted by the notorious Larry May (Candy Snatchers, The Crums), Born Loose also features punk rock veterans Suke (Snuka, Iron Prostate, Candy Snatchers), Shane Konen (Live Ones, Ghetto Ways), and Eric Robel (Heroin Sheiks, Nova Express). This all-star lineup delivers an over-the-top, booze-soaked, garage-punk assault that picks up right where the Candy Snatchers left off—and somehow pushes it even further into the red.

This is the gold standard of pissed-off punk rock!

Born Loose plays with the intensity of a car crash and the raw energy of true, unfiltered rock 'n' roll. Larry May howls like it's 1977, the guitars shriek and snarl with reckless abandon, and the rhythm section hits with the weight of a demolition crew. This is the real deal: a beer-drenched, riff-heavy explosion channeling the spirit of Detroit icons like The Stooges, MC5, and The New Bomb Turks, while nodding to the filth and fury of The Dead Boys and Dead Kennedys.

Born Loose isn’t just a band — they’re a statement. Loud, relentless, and unapologetically wild, they’re carrying the torch for real punk rock in an era of imitation.

Blowout!

Hound Gawd! Records

Ya need a soundtrack for your backyard fight club? Well, here it is! New blood and beer-drenched recordings from this Brooklyn, NYC garage-punk outfit. Born Loose have been preaching the gospel of bar-fight-rock'n'roll for quite some time.

Once Virginian noisemaker Larry May (Candy Snatchers, The Crums) moved from Norfolk to NYC and started hanging out with some local punks. They spent their days drinking whiskey and beer, searching for pinball machines and enjoying spontaneous parties. Seeing a lineup comprised of Larry May, Suke (Iron Prostate, Candy Snatchers),

Shane Konen (Live Ones, Ghetto Ways) and Eric Robel (Heroin Sheiks, Nova Express), you'd assume that Born Loose has to be a veritable hurricane blowing through your speakers. And you’re damn right!

«Blowout!» picks up right where the band had left after their 7” «I Loathe You» on Hound Gawd! delivering twelve scorching tracks of super-charged, punked out rock and roll - way past in the red. The energy of Detroit rock'n'roll, the smell of garage and the craziness of the Dead Kennedys in one band! «Blowout!» is the second album from Born Loose – by many accounts the best band in New York City these days.

This is the gold standard of pissed-off punk rock!

NYC's Born Loose is fronted by Larry May (Candy Snatchers) who leads the group like a man possessed. Rest of the line-up is Suke (Iron Prostate, Candy Snatchers), Shane Konen (Live Ones, Ghetto Ways) and Eric Robel (Heroin Sheiks, Nova Express). The exquisite album artwork comes from the renowned Mort Todd who used to work at Cracked Magazine.

Two short, raw and angry garage punk songs with loud and aggressive guitars, a mid tempo song on the flipside, and a singer that screams his guts out. BORN LOOSE sounds like the bastard child of pioneers like the STOOGES and DEAD BOYS with the fury of someone like JERRY LEE.
