Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind represent the latest evolution in the ever-shifting sonic journey of singer and guitarist Jim Jones. With a rich musical history spanning acclaimed acts like The Jim Jones Revue, Black Moses, and Thee Hypnotics, Jones and his new band dive deeper into dark, exotic musical territories, blending raw power with spiritual intensity.
Named after a seminal book on social psychology, Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind formed immediately after The Jim Jones Revue’s final sold-out show at London’s Forum in late 2014. Just five days after their last encore, Jones was already in the studio with his new lineup, conjuring a fresh collection of songs that pushed his sound into bold new directions.
The band’s live debut took place at France’s Avaterium Festival on May 23, 2015. Since then, they have released three well-received EPs and recorded their debut album at London's Space Eko East Studios.
