Loveland hypnotizes with a sound that fuses vintage garage rock with psychedelic flair and modern edge. Fronted by the magnetic Lana Loveland, whose legacy in rock is deeply rooted, the band channels a timeless yet contemporary sonic journey.
Before founding Loveland, Lana carved her name into garage rock history as the organist for the legendary Fuzztones and a touring member of the iconic Music Machine. Her dynamic stage presence and distinctive keyboard style made her a standout figure on international stages.
In 2011, Lana stepped into the spotlight with her debut solo album, Order to Love. Backed by her band, Loveland, the project featured collaborators like Rudi Protrudi (Fuzztones frontman) on bass and Lenny Svilar (former Fuzztones guitarist) on lead guitar—both of whom helped define the band's unmistakable sound. The album's release was followed by a well-received tour that introduced Loveland to a passionate global audience.

After a brief hiatus beginning in 2015 to embrace motherhood, Lana returned in 2018 with a renewed creative fire. The comeback single, Strange Charms b/w Web of Sound, captures the band at its most innovative. Self-penned and produced by Lana, the tracks showcase her sultry vocals and signature keys, paired once again with Svilar’s searing guitar work and Protrudi’s driving bass. Drummer Oli Friedrich completes the tight and compelling rhythm section.
While Order to Love leaned into West Coast 60s psychedelia, the new Loveland sound blends acid rock, freakbeat, and modern desert rock — a fusion somewhere between early Rare Earth and Queens of the Stone Age. The result: hypnotic grooves and psychotropic melodies that are as danceable as they are mesmerizing.
Thematically rich and musically fearless, Strange Charms is an upbeat, voodoo-infused anthem for defying doubt, while Web of Sound is a trippy tribute to garage legend Sky Saxon of The Seeds. Each track pulses with raw energy and underground allure.
Loveland continues to evolve, a band equally rooted in rock tradition and forward momentum. With Lana Loveland also rejoining the Fuzztones for select shows, fans can expect cross-pollination between both projects — and unforgettable live performances
