The High-Octane Speedrock & Hardcore Punk Force

Zeke is the high-octane storm that’s been ripping through the hardcore punk and speedrock scenes since 1992. Formed in Seattle, this American powerhouse forged a reputation from their very first gig with blistering velocity, snarling guitars, and a live presence that demands attention. Described by Heckler Magazine as the “new monsters of rock,” Zeke didn’t just accept the title — they detonated it into legend. "Ride With Zeke" isn’t just a catchphrase; it’s a warning shot and a promise of the sonic onslaught to come.

With the recent return of powerhouse drummer Donny Paycheck, alongside Blind Marky Felchtone on guitar and lead vocals, Jason Freeman on guitar, and Jeff Hiatt on bass, Zeke has reignited their signature fury. Blending the raw aggression of punk rock, the intensity of hardcore, and the no-frills drive of classic rock ’n’ roll, Zeke carved out their own lane — and then torched the road behind them. Often hailed as the godfathers of speedrock, their music hits with surgical chaos, packing ferocious riffs, explosive drumming, and venomous vocals into tracks that hit fast and leave scorched earth behind. Drawing inspiration from bands like Motörhead, the Ramones, and Black Flag, Zeke doesn’t imitate — they escalate.

On stage, Zeke is a force of nature. Their shows are unrelenting displays of speed and power, delivered with the kind of feral intensity that feels both precise and unhinged. From coast to coast, fans and critics alike have praised their live sets as adrenaline-fueled riots — tight, fast, and unforgettable. Whether ripping through original anthems or throwing in a searing KISS cover, Zeke leaves no stage unshaken.

Ride Hard Ride Free (Single)

Hound Gawd! Records

Short, fast, loud, ZEKE!

Seattle punk legends ZEKE return with new recordings. "Ride Hard Ride Free" contains two tracks laced with ZEKE's signature mix of turbo-charged thrash-punk and Motörhead possessed rock n' roll.

In 2022, ZEKE was unexpectedly reborn with founding members Blind Marky Felchtone (vox/guitar) and Donny Paycheck (drums) returning to the drum kit. They went into the studio with Jason Freeman (bass) and Jeff Hiatt (guitar), they were with ZEKE before and got back in, to record new tracks. The first single "Ride Hard Ride Free" is everything you've come to expect - or want to hear from ZEKE.

A full-on thrasher celebrating speed in more ways than one, "Ride Hard Ride Free" has a very sharp style, with the band takes cues from old Motörhead rlffs, then fusing it with hardcore punk roughage. A modern ZEKE classic.

Snake Eyes (Single)

Hound Gawd! Records

They are still doing what they do best, loud fast and heavy punk rock with a hint of blues. You can say that they were punked up Motörhead but they brought a certain punk rock and hardcore element to the genre that many bands after them picked up on.

RPM Online wrote, “Zeke really are like no other band in the world right now” and that “It’s not fast, its fucking hypersonic hardcore”, while Maximum Volume highly recommends “… they are the kings of th underground.” Vive le Rock in UK is pleased “the quartet will be giving Brexit the finger.” and also Ox Fanzine from Germany confirmed, “they are in top form, just as we celebrated them back in 1996 for Super Sound Racing.”

With original members Blind Marky Felchtone (vocals and guitar) and Donny Paycheck (drums) along with Jason Freeman (bass) and Jeff Hiatt (guitar), ‘Snake Eyes’ is as uncompromising as ever, with a furious whirlwind rhythm the foundation for a tidal wave of fast guitars. Feltchtone’s serrated knife vocal might be even more toxic than two decades ago.

‘Snake Eyes’ slows down the punk speed a bit in favor of a high-octane rock affair that, like Hellacopters, comes across as played at the wrong speed. On the flipside you will find pure intensity with ‘The Knife’ and you can imagine ZEKE driving one through the night doing whatever they are doing in the back and once its finished you feel dazed and confused. Like one of those masochists who likes pain you want to put it on again too.

Peterbilt (Single)

Hound Gawd! Records

With their new 7″ single “Peterbilt”, ZEKE unleash an adrenaline rush only they can deliver. Since forming in Seattle in 1992, ZEKE have defined speed rock: an unrelenting mix of hardcore punk, rock ’n’ roll swagger, and breakneck fury.

The two tracks, “Peterbilt” and “From The Ashes”, are nothing short of a frontal assault—razor sharp riffs, relentless drumming, rumbling bass, and the feral snarl of frontman Blind Marky Felchtone. Every second hits like a strike, every note is pure velocity. This is rock ’n’ roll in the red.

Led by founding members Blind Marky Felchtone (vocals, guitar) and Donny Paycheck (drums), alongside Jason Freeman (bass) and Jeff Hiatt (guitar), ZEKE channel their explosive live energy straight into vinyl. In less than five minutes, they deliver the kind of sonic intensity most bands can’t capture across a whole album.

“Peterbilt” is uncompromising, high-octane punk rock—raw, direct, and unapologetically loud. Essential listening for anyone who craves speed, aggression, and attitude.
