TEXA$ PLATINUM, the new studio album by Austin's favorite guitar and drum duo, The Ghost Wolves.
With song titles like "Whettin My Knife," it is not hard to imagine what this new album may be about. The band is Carley Wolf on guitar and vocals and Jonny Wolf on drums, synthesizer and vocals. They formed in Austin, Texas in 2010. Some of their influences include artists like Hasil Adkins, Joan Jett, R.L. Burnside, The Ramones, The Kills, Ronnie Dawson, Death Grips, Jessie Mae Hemphill.
The Ghost Wolves are masters of starting with a slow, searing burn, then turning their infectious energy up to a merciless cyclone, while spinning tales of all the good times had with being bad.
Outside of a marvelously stripped-down sound, the Wolves burst with sheer attitude, the kind of moxie that comes from being young, hungry and not giving a shit whether or not they see the inside of an arena.
